2011 COMMUNITY WORK ON SANGO FESTIVAL PRESERVATION
The work with the Sango Community started in 2011 to preserve the Sango Festival in Oyo giving continuity to the Intangible Heritage left by their forefathers.
The Festival consists of 10 days that express the celebration of life, power and authority that is embedded in the person and the ancestor Sango. The celebration marks the history of Yoruba expansion as well as the celebration and efficacy of the throne of the Alaafin of Oyo. Sango Festival has also become part of the efforts to celebrate the heroic values of the progenitors of the institution of the Alaafin. It further serves as a link for inclusion where all people come together to celebrate a culturally genuine festival that historically serves as a means of connecting with the past. It is a festival that helps to sustain, preserve and promote indigenous culture that has become accepted worldwide beyond Yoruba land.

2015 Education is an International Cultural Right
On the 16th January 2015 the late Alaafin, Oba Adeyemi III wrote to the Honourable Commissioner of Education informing that everyone has the right to an education according to the Article 13 of the United Nations from 1966 International Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
The Sango children adherents do not attend school because they do not shave their hair, which goes against their tradition and cultural Rights.
Based on Equal Rights the late Alaafin authorized all Sango youth to attend the school with plaited hair in Oyo town and requested the State Government to grant this request for all the State as a means of improving Educational Standard.
A new battle started with the Educational System in the State with the inclusion of the Sango children and youth back into the schools, which has being fulfilled with success.
